Our Secret Wedding

Our plan was to get legally married on our Wedding Cruise but the Bermuda licensing was a little too much work so we decided to go ahead and make it legal here. We stayed up late the night before having wine and talking about our future and how happy we are to have each other. 

We woke up early and got ready to go. We met our good friends Chris and Jeff down at the Martinez courthouse and filled out paperwork and waited for our turn. We wanted to keep it a secret from our family because it was a last minute decision and we didn't want to do a get together as we were so busy at work. 

We got married in a nice little chapel and Chris and Jeff video taped everything. We cried while trying to get the words out and had a magical moment together. After the ceremony we went down the street, had Champagne and celebrated. 

Later, we had the most wonderful dinner at one of our favorite places The Nantucket. It sits right out over the bay and overlooks all the shipping and fishing boats. It sits below the Carquinez Bridge and the views are glorious. It was a really warm night and we were so grateful to be married and to have each other.

The next morning we woke up as Man and Wife. I have never been so happy to look over and see my beautiful Husband laying next to me asleep wearing his Wedding Ring. 

Say "Yes" to the Dress

I was nervous about shopping for my Wedding Dress... I felt insecure about my body or attracting too much attention to myself. The normal feelings that women have in this moment. 

I thought this would be the one. It felt so soft and the way it fell made me re-think what my original vision was.

This is the dress that came home with me that day. I was dazzled by the bling and my insecurity got the better of me. When I got home and showed Randy, his face fell and I knew that I had made a big mistake.

A few nights later we drove back out to David's Bridal together and found the prefect dress. It was so special to share this special memory together and he was so wonderful about the whole thing. I have the best guy ever!

ATC Jams

I usually take a little break from swapping during the Holidays to me the time to focus on work and to spend what time I have crafting rather than swapping, which takes most of my time. It's always sad to not be in touch with all my favorite ladies so this is when I love doing Jams. I can still be connected to my swapping friends and be creative without deadlines, etc. Today I am sending out about 10 different completed Jams and some new Starters. Lots of fun Halloweeny Jams!!

Summer Swap

Swap cards that I received from Mel with the theme of Summer, Beach, Sun. I just love them! She and I have been swapping for the last couple of months and I just love my collection of cards that she has sent. Thanks Mel, I absolutely love them!!!

 

RAK

It's been so much fun swapping cards and sharing work with other artists, but it has been so nice to get cute little envelopes and lots of little extras from my swap partners. I have had lots of fun putting together little bags of goodies for my partners too.

Isn't this little package that Laura sent me adorable!? I have been participating in many Summer themed swaps lately and I am loving all the cards that I am getting!!!

Button Up

Here is a ATC for a swap that I mailed out today called Button Up. The challenge was to use buttons as the primary design element. I had a hard time coming up with a good idea but ended up making this cute little tree.
